We all want our dogs to behave in a way that makes them pleasant to be around, keeps them safe, and provides for the safety of other people and pets. Dogs do not figure out basic obedience on their own; they must be trained.

The hardest part of training is communicating with the dog in a humane way that he or she understands. However, the underlying principle of all communication is simple: reward desired behavior while ignoring or correcting undesired behavior.

Kathy will visit your home for a behavior consultation and discuss your training goals and determine the best training program for you and your dog.

First Visit - $65.00 Each Additional visit - $45.00

Puppy Education – Kathy will cover such puppy behaviors such as chewing, mouthing, jumping, potty training, crate training and barking. Your puppy will be introduced to basic training such as learning his or her name, come, sit, down, & how to walk nicely on a leash.

Basic Obedience - Kathy will meet with you at your home and teach you how to train your dog the essential obedience exercises. Basic manners include sit, down, stay, come, heel, & leave it.

Behavior Modification - Kathy will work with you and your dog on behavior situations that require more effort from both you & your trainer.
